Our Board Members

Fife Law Centre is a registered charity, constituted as a company limited by guarantee. It operates as a Board of Trustees which sustains and supports a private legal firm, Fife Community Law Ltd. The purpose of the Board is to set the strategic direction of, and secure the resources for, Fife Law Centre, and to work with the Principal Solicitor to support the delivery of services. Peter Wilson - Board Chair
Peter Wilson has been a member of the Law Centre Board since the beginning in 2009 following a 35-year career in policing.

Alison Denton - Board Member

Alison is passionate about supporting individuals and organisations to achieve their goals. She has spent over 30 years working at a senior level in HR and Organisational Development in both public and private sector. She is a founding partner of Edinburgh Coaching Academy - an organisation specialising in Coaching and Mentoring. She has been involved in many different organisations in a voluntary capacity serving as a school governor, board member of Home-Start, and board member at Elmwood College, Cupar.  Alison has also served as a Lay Member of the Employment Tribunal Services since 2002,  hearing cases relating to dismissal, redundancy, wages and all aspects of discrimination.

She joined Fife Law Centre as a board member because she believes everyone should have access to justice and be able to exercise their legal rights recognising that unmet legal needs can negatively  impact peoples lives, families, income, housing and health as well as society generally.
